These Rental Terms explain the general terms that apply when you rent laptops, MacBooks, desktops, workstations, accessories, or computer systems through Rentlap.
Please read these terms carefully before confirming any rental order. By submitting a rental enquiry, confirming a rental, making a payment, accepting delivery, or using a rented device, you agree to follow the rental terms set out by Rentlap.
These terms are intended to keep the rental process clear, fair, and safe for both customers and Rentlap.
Submitting an enquiry on the Rentlap website does not automatically confirm device availability or rental approval.
After you submit your enquiry, the Rentlap team will review your requirement and contact you with details such as device availability, rental pricing, security deposit, rental duration, delivery or pickup options, and required documents.
A rental is confirmed only after Rentlap accepts the request, the required verification is completed, and the payment or deposit requirements are fulfilled.
All rental devices are subject to availability.
The laptop, MacBook, desktop, workstation, or accessory shown on the website may not always be available for immediate rental. Availability can vary based on location, model, configuration, rental duration, and quantity required.
If the exact model is unavailable, Rentlap may suggest an alternative device with a similar or suitable configuration.
The rental duration will be agreed upon before the order is confirmed.
Rental periods may vary based on the device type, customer requirements, availability, and location. Short-term and long-term rental options may be available depending on the product and order type.
The rental period starts from the date of delivery, pickup, or handover of the device, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Customers who want to extend the rental period must contact Rentlap before the rental end date. Extensions are subject to device availability and additional rental charges.
Rental pricing may vary depending on:
The final rental amount will be shared before confirmation. Prices shown or discussed during the enquiry may change if the requirement, duration, quantity, location, or device configuration changes.
A refundable security deposit may be required before the device is handed over.
The deposit amount can vary based on the device model, rental value, customer type, rental duration, location, and risk assessment.
The security deposit is held as protection against unpaid rental charges, late returns, loss, theft, damage, missing accessories, or violation of rental terms.
The deposit will be refunded after the device and accessories are returned, inspected, and all outstanding charges, if any, are cleared.
Rentlap may request verification documents before confirming a rental.
Required documents may vary for individuals, students, businesses, institutions, and bulk rental customers.
Documents may include identity proof, address proof, student ID, company details, GST details, employee ID, authorization letter, or other verification information as required.
Rentlap may refuse or cancel a rental request if verification is incomplete, documents are invalid, information is incorrect, or the request does not meet internal approval criteria.
Rental charges, deposits, delivery charges, setup charges, or any other applicable fees must be paid as agreed before or during the rental process.
Rentlap may require full or partial payment before dispatch, delivery, pickup, or device handover.
Late payments may result in service interruption, rental extension charges, recovery action, or adjustment against the security deposit.
Payment confirmation details will be shared during the rental process.
Delivery and pickup options may be available depending on the customer's location, device availability, order size, and rental terms.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by location, availability, logistics, holidays, customer availability, payment completion, and verification status.
Customers must ensure that the delivery address and contact details are correct. If delivery fails due to incorrect information, customer unavailability, or refusal to accept the device, additional delivery charges may apply.
For returns, the customer must make the device and accessories available at the agreed time and location.
Devices are provided in working condition at the time of handover.
Customers are advised to check the device, charger, accessories, display, keyboard, ports, battery, and general condition when receiving the device.
Any issue noticed at the time of delivery or pickup should be reported to Rentlap immediately. If no issue is reported within the agreed inspection window, the device may be considered accepted in working condition.
The customer is responsible for taking proper care of the rented device and accessories during the rental period.
Customers must:
The rented device remains the property of Rentlap or its rental partner at all times.
Customers must not use rented devices for illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized activities.
Customers must not:
Rentlap may cancel the rental and take necessary action if prohibited use is found.
Customers are responsible for the data, files, accounts, passwords, software, and personal information they use on rented devices.
Before returning the device, customers must back up and remove their personal data, log out of all accounts, and remove passwords, locks, or device restrictions.
Rentlap is not responsible for loss of personal data, files, software, accounts, passwords, or business information stored on the rented device.
Rentlap may format, reset, inspect, or erase devices after return as part of the standard rental process.
Customers must use licensed software only. Any software installation, license compliance, or account usage is the customer’s responsibility unless specifically agreed otherwise.
Customers must immediately inform Rentlap if the rented device or accessory is damaged, lost, stolen, or not working properly.
The customer may be responsible for repair charges, replacement charges, missing accessory charges, recovery costs, rental loss, or other applicable costs if the device is damaged, lost, stolen, misused, or returned in poor condition.
Examples of chargeable issues may include:
Final charges will depend on inspection, repair estimate, replacement value, rental terms, and condition of the returned device.
If the device develops a technical issue during the rental period, the customer must report it to Rentlap as soon as possible.
Rentlap will review the issue and guide the customer on the next steps. Depending on the issue, device condition, location, and rental agreement, repair, troubleshooting, or replacement support may be considered.
Support or replacement may not apply if the issue is caused by misuse, physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorized repairs, software misuse, malware, improper handling, or violation of rental terms.
Devices must be returned on or before the agreed rental end date unless an extension is approved by Rentlap.
If the device is not returned on time, additional rental charges, late fees, pickup charges, or other applicable charges may apply.
Customers who need more time should request an extension before the rental period ends. Extension approval depends on the availability and payment of applicable charges.
Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on the rental stage, device availability, order type, payment status, and logistics arrangements.
If a customer cancels after confirmation, verification, dispatch, delivery scheduling, or device allocation, cancellation charges may apply.
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed after adjusting any rental charges, delivery charges, cancellation charges, damage charges, late fees, or other outstanding amounts.
For complete details, please refer to Rentlap’s Refund and Cancellation Policy.
When the device is returned, Rentlap will inspect the device and accessories.
The inspection may include checking:
If the device is returned in good condition and all dues are cleared, the applicable security deposit refund will be processed.
All rented devices, accessories, chargers, bags, and related equipment remain the property of Rentlap or its rental partner.
The customer receives only temporary usage rights for the agreed rental duration. Renting a device does not transfer ownership to the customer.
The customer must return the device and accessories at the end of the rental period unless an extension is approved.
Business, corporate, institutional, event, and bulk rental orders may have additional terms based on quantity, duration, device type, delivery schedule, support requirement, payment terms, and agreement details.
A written quotation, purchase order, invoice, agreement, or email confirmation may be used to confirm bulk rental terms.
If there is any difference between this page and the agreed written terms for a specific business order, the written agreement or confirmed quotation may apply for that order.
Rentlap aims to provide devices in working condition and support customers during the rental process. However, Rentlap is not responsible for indirect losses, business interruption, loss of data, loss of profits, software issues, account access problems, project delays, or third-party service issues caused during device usage.
Customers are responsible for backing up their data and ensuring that the rented device is suitable for their intended use before relying on it for important work.
Rentlap may update these Rental Terms from time to time based on business, operational, legal, or service requirements.
The latest version published on the website will apply unless specific written terms have been agreed for a confirmed rental order.
If you have any questions about these Rental Terms, rental pricing, deposit, delivery, return, damage policy, or business rental requirements, please contact the Rentlap team before confirming your rental.
